The brooch is molded in the same way as the pendant, the only difference is in the accessories on which the figurine made of polymer clay is attached. For this reason, brooches will be placed on this page of our website together with pendants.
All the jewelry, including charms, is molded from high-quality baked polymer clay, since after baking it is very strong and waterproof, strength is necessary here, since the elements are very small and usually thin.
On the same page you will see several tutorial on polymer clay, how to fix any item or figure to special jewelry accessories, and a lot of photos of finished works. Since most often, a polymer clay charm is all kinds of miniature figurines of cute animals, flowers or compositions of mini flowers, berries, donuts, sweets, chocolates, cookies and other sweets.

To do this, at the final stage before baking, it will be necessary to insert a bijouterie pin or any other accessories, on which later you can attach our figure – a charm to a chain or cord. Also, if the figurine is miniature, and is mainly suitable only for a charm, the sculpting technique is very different from the full-size version. A detailed modeling lesson will be shown on this page. Or on the page for sculpting polymer clay earrings: Polymer clay earring. There, the technique can be very different from the standard, but can intersect with the technique of molding charms.

Polymer clay brooch “Cute Owl”. A photo tutorial on modeling.
1. Roll out white polymer clay, about 2 mm (0.08 inches) thick. Cut a circle. Make two indentations for the Owl’s eyes using the stack with a ball. Insert glass eyes.
2. Roll a thin sausage out of the clay of the same color. Cut into equal parts. Roll a small drop from each part, and press down with a stack with a needle, as shown in the photo.
3-4. Using a stack with a needle, attach the droplets in a circle – these will be feathers. Press down well so that the feathers hold well.
5. Roll a small drop of black polymer clay and attach it to the center – this will be the beak. Before attaching the beak to the place of attachment, it is necessary to drop a droplet of Fimo gel, so the beak will hold well, it will not have to be pressed down too much.
6. Take silver acrylic paint, touch up the edges of the feathers. Pre-bake the brooch.
7. Take Fimo gel and drip a very large drop, attach the brooch accessories. Place on the main bake.
8. Here we have such a cute brooch.
